Frequently Asked Questions

What is IV Therapy?

IV therapy is a method to quickly administer fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream. By going directly into the bloodstream, your body can absorb 100% of the vitamins; taken orally, vitamins experience about 20% hydration due to the digestive system.  Our services are meant to act as a supplement and not to replace oral hydration.

Is IV therapy safe?

All of our vitamins are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing. All IVs are administered by a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner and performed under the Medical Director. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated via the intake form.

Are there any side effects of IV therapy?

Side effects are rare and are essentially non-existent. On occasion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising, itching, inflammation, or redness at the insertion site or at the site of injection, and this could last from a few minutes to several days.  However, true allergic reactions are extremely rare. We always carry an EPI-pen with us for all infusions and injections.

How long does an infusion take?

This varies on the size of the catheter inserted, although it can take anywhere from 30 minutes – 1 hour to complete the infusion.

Does it hurt?

Every patient’s pain tolerance is different, but we strive to stick everyone just once with our experienced nursing staff. We do offer Lidocaine numbing spray if you would like!

How often should I get an IV Infusion?

The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient by patient basis.  We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend 2 drips per month to help balance out any vitamin deficiencies.

Is there a group discount?
Yes! If you have a group of 5 or more, receive 20% off all drips!
Does insurance cover IV Therapy?

Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance for treatment.  However, we do take cash, check, credit, debit, HSA and FSA.

Are there age restrictions on IV Hydration Therapy?

Patient’s must be 18 years of age or older. Those younger than 18 will be assessed on a case by case basis.  A letter of medical clearance may be needed from a Pediatrician.

I have high blood pressure, can I get an IV infusion?

Your vital signs are taken before and after infusion therapy.  We require the systolic BP (the top number) to be greater than 80, but less than 160 to be a candidate for IV therapy.

Can I get an IV if I am pregnant?

We require a letter of medical clearance from your OB-GYN prior to infusion therapy.
